CharIN sets statement on the international VDI ELIV congress in Bonn

On October 18th + 19th, 2017 top decision makers of the vehicle electronics met in the World Conference Center in Bonn for the ELIV (Electronics in Vehicles) congress. The key megatrends electrification, connectivity, autonomous driving as well as security and future development of vehicles have been covered. 1,700 participants, over 145 exhibitors and more than 70 specialist lecturers were present at the ELIV congress.

Very high participation and interest has been given to the lecture "The way to global charging standard" given by Mr. Fabian Grill, Director of the Charging system at Porsche AG and member of the Steering committee of the CharIN e.V. He set a statement by presenting the achievements of the CharIN e.V. towards the establishment of the combined charging systems (CCS) as the global standard and high-power charging (HPC).


In the further lectures, the cooling system used for HPC with CCS was demonstrated in a VW eGolf. Moreover, Porsche presented how they use HPC to manage current infrastructure challenges.
